A Spain Food and Travel Blog from American Expats Living in Spain: Travel advice on what to eat in Spain and where to eat it. Our Spain food travel guide includes advice on Catalonia (Barcelona, Girona, and the Costa Brava), as well as Madrid and the Basque Country.
We love the Spanish food, including cheese, jamon, and tapas, but have also fallen in love with Spanish wine, and the Spanish lifestyle. We are residents of Spain, living in Girona, in Catalonia. Girona is sandwiched between Barcelona and the French border. The area, known as the Costa Brava, or the brave coast, is filled with Michelin Star restaurants, and amazing DO Emporda wineries.

One of our favorite places in Madrid, Spain, became the Museo del Jamon. For two pork lovers (one of us a little more addicted than the other) it was heaven on a plate – a “museum” of ham. Museo del Jamon – BEST Museum Ever Well, not quite a museum in the traditional sense, […]
Recently, I started adding some photo essays to this website, to tell our travel story through photos. Most of our experiences focus on food, but we have seen some lovely cities as well. The photo essays can show you the buildings, the architecture, the street scenes. But, in Madrid, Spain, it was cold and rainy […]
